  5. Herblore Guide

Herblore Guide by Danieltatis This is a guide for getting levels in Herblore. This is not a very fast skill to level up, but it yields decent Blood Money (mostly by completing the Anti-bot test). This skill is intrinsically partnered with Farming, and because of this you SHOULD train both skills simultaneously (Farming before Herblore of course). The basic activities are: Getting fresh & clean (not grimy) herbs (obtainable via players or Farming @ patch west of ::skill, PLEASE look at Stats's amazing guide here ) Getting secondary ingredients AND Vials of Water @ Jatix store (located west of ::skill) Preparing potions (mixing vials with herbs, then with secondary ingredients) And, you can make Blood Money out of the potions, either by selling them to the wonderful Shop assistant @ skill, or by using them in PvM/PvP. So, is that it? What kind of guide is this? Don't worry, pictures will follow us now... The Store Jatix is located here (just teleport to Entrana via the ::skill command and follow the path) At his store you will find noted versions of the secondary items. They are free, so you should get a few thousands of each (except Vials of Water, 1M of those should suffice) After that, go to the bank at ::skill and unnote the items. Get 14 Vials of Water, 14 herbs and process them (use one in the other) to make unfinished (unf) potions. Then, get the 14 secondary item pieces and use them with the unfinished potions. In this part, you will get XP according to the potions created. What potions can/should i make? Well, i made a table for this! You can see that XP rates improve per Herblore level, so improving your Farming level in par with Herblore or getting enough herbs is a must. Oh, and you can see that i don't know how to make a few potions at the bottom. PLEASE let me know how to make them via Herblore, as they appear at the skill window. There's Super Combat potions as well. In order to make these, you need to have a clean Torstol, and all Super potions (Attack, Strength, Defence). Still, it would be nice to know HOW MANY POTIONS i should make, hmm? Potion Schedule This is a Potion Schedule. It indicates the amount of potions that you should make to reach the next potion level. I hope this helps you know where you are regarding this optimal calculation. Experience Lamps (Obtainable @ Vote Manager) Experience lamps can be used to train Herblore. If you're not interested in getting herbs or buying them, you can still get 1M XP per lamp (every 12 hours). This is suggested because Herblore requires either time or blood money to get herbs, which makes leveling pretty slow overall. Getting to 90 herblore (Super Combat potions) requires 5.35M XP, which should equate to getting 62 herblore by the actual method (a little bit more XP because level 62 doesn't get 350K experience), and using 5 lamps for 5M xp. That's all folks! If you have advice regarding tricks or strategies not shown here, please comment so i can add your contribution to this guide. P.S. Dedicated to Stats, Dawntained's guide man.
  6. I'm sorry I didn't see there was already a video on this but I tried to cover everything a beginner should know. If I left anything out please let me know. Update: They're are a few items in the untradables shop that will be lost on death(Void/f'cape/torso/d defender/ and a few other will not be lost on death). Simply left click the blood money merchant and buy back untradables if lost for a small fee. Click HERE to watch the video or watch below.
  7. Preset Guide by Pushing On

Hello this is my guide on how to use the preset feature For starters to get to this feature you can press the quest tab or minigame tab and at the top there are four options to choose from press the "quick setup" option and this screen should appear: if you press one of the premade presets it will give you a pking setup automatically for example i used the max melee setup (first option top right) and it automatically loads my character with max stats and this pking setup including the gear, inventory, and the correct spellbook for the chosen preset There are also custom presets that you can create yourself! you have 9 custom presets and when you start they are all empty these are the custom preset slots: they are located directly under the pre-made presets. to make a custom preset is really simple all you have to do is click any of the 9 empty slots and this will pop up in the text box: as you can see you have 3 option and they are all fairly straight forward, to make a custom preset equip the gear you would like for it, and also create the inventory exactly as you would like it and press the second option "update preset", then press the option confirming that you would like to update it. next you can press the third option "rename preset" and you can name it what best suits it for you to know what it is. Finally when youre done you can press the first option "equip (insert preset name here)" and you will be ready to go! this helps for easy gearing to go pking after you die, or you can make presets to pvm in so you dont have to manually equip all the gear you would like for pvm also as shown in this GIF : https://i.gyazo.com/777897e94e7b333e832489d11bf221ea.mp4 when you load a preset, it will tell you the name of the preset you loaded, and if you dont have all the correct items to load the preset it will tell you what items you are missing from the preset as shown. On a final note: when loading presets if you have any spawnable items (items that come in the main preset or free items) left in your inventory they will go to the bank and you will magically spawn a fresh item, so over time they stack up even if you only start with 1. But this only happens with SPAWNABLE items things like ags/elder things with value in the bm shop will NOT stack. This has been my guide on presets and custom presets thank you for viewing goodluck pking/pvming!

In this thread i will give you some tips & a fast guide to kraken boss, aswell as an spoiler of the drops you might get if you try it out. TIPS ♫ Either use toxic blowpipe, with ranged gear of your selection, or magic (trident of the swamp) would be the prefered. ♫ Pay the 1500 BM for the private room to this boss. (you get this option when you click on the safe-boss teleport) ♫ Bring the least food you can, and maximize your "trip" by filling (inside wilderness, be careful) your looting bag (you can get yours from untradeables @BM store for 3000 BM), with prayer/super restore/sanfew potions. ♫ REMEMBER: attack(there is no need to kill) all the level 127 whirpools before trying to attack the big one. This will assure you are not wasting your time splashing the big one. ♫ ALWAYS : pray protect magic, otherwise if half afk you might get killed. Alright, those were the tips for kraken, here are some images that will get straight to the point, aswell as my luck in this trip. GEAR: - Full void, w/magic helm: | Can replace with mystics, ahrims, infinity, in the case of being a pure with ghostly robes or elder robes. - Occult necklace: +12 | Can use amulet of glory, fury, or magic. - Ring of wealth (i): for + 3% drop increase. | If can't afford, i recommend using regular ring of wealth, which can be bought from players for around 500 BM. - Eternal boots: +8 | Can use instead infinity boots, or wizard / rock climbing boots. - Mage's book: +15 | Can use regular unholy book, or ancient book. - Trident of the swamp: +25 (unlimited spells w/out need of runes) | Can use barrage, or regular magics, aswell as any other staff or wand. - Zamorak god cape: +10 | Can be replaced with max cape, or an imbued god cape. My trip drops: In 40 kraken kills, i got: • Abyssal tentacle (3) • Trident of the swamp (1) • Blood Money: (4951) Images|gifs: [That's how kraken should look when all whirpools are "active" and its getting killed.] In this image we can see how the withdraw function from lootbag can help us maximise our trip lenght. NOTE: Can only be done outside of wilderness. Here we see the "how to" fill your looting bag. NOTE: It can only be done inside of the wilderness. I recommend being careful, and obviously protecting meele incase of a random rusher. Goodluck & have fun .
  10. Starter Guide

Hello, I was thinking that we needed a starter guide, and this is the path I think is the best one to take. PS: This is my first guide so i'm sorry if its not that good, leave a reply if theres anything I should change 1: create an account and vote on it 2: write in your account name and continue with the voting Pvm path 1: go to the quest tab and press quick setup, go with max hybrid 2: go to the blood money merchant at ::shops and purchase a Trident of the swamp. 3: equip it and remove everything in your inventory except the blood money, and get 3 magic potions and the rest should be super restore. so 2k blood money 3 magic potions, can find them in your bank, and the rest super restore. 4: make a preset with it. go to quest tab - quick setup - and make a new preset and name it - update it. 5: go to teleport tab - safe bosses - and find Kraken - and make a instanced room. 6: You will arrive to the Kraken room, disturb all the small whirlpools then the big one - he can only attack with magic so use protect from magic and Mystic Might And now you can semi afk, dont forget to drink potions every now and then, and the drops is Pvp Path 1: make a pure with MSB (Magic short bow) grab some more arrows I didnt do it in the screenshot but it would be better, they are spawnable so. 2: Buy a granite maul for 4k blood money. Inventory is completly up to you, but this is how mine looks (remember that saradomin brew lowers your range and magic) Pures are to the west of edge wilderness, so go there and these are the max attacks with prayers and fully poted 25 with msb and 37 with gmaul I recommend doing Kraken for a while so you dont get smited and lose your Gmaul. Thank you, gl and have fun, watch the forums for statue prices if you are going to do pvp.

  12. money making guide

There are many ways to make Blood Money (BM) on dawntainted. There are PVP, PVM, and Skilling. My favorite way to make money is slayer, in particular boss tasks. Now if you cant afford void welfare gear is good to. i make at least 1k a task. not saying that you cant make money. After each boss task you are rewarded with the BM you made and 1k for completing it. Where do i find Vanaaka? He is located to the north of the bank tellers in the bank Right click and ask for a boss task. https://i.gyazo.com/06896079ff01840ac7f6c80a17300d57.mp4 Now that you have a task. Go complete it (Mine was Daggonoth king Rex) At the end of the task you are rewarded with 1k bm. Good luck on your drops. Start making money!!!
  13. [Skill] Smithing Guide

Disclaimer: Before starting to train smithing you will need to either train mining and get the ores yourself or buy the ores from someone else who is selling them. If you need a mining guide there is currently this one: http://dawntained.com/forums/topic/276-1-99-mining-guide/ The current best place to train smithing is on the Dwarven Mine (Teleports ➳ Skilling ➳ Dwarven Mine) and you will be using the bank booth, the Furnace and the anvil with an hammer. Levels 1-15: Bronze bars 780 XP each Ores required: You will need to make a total of 4 Bronze bars before proceeding to the next level bracket. You could also choose to hammer these bronze bars on the anvil but it is not needed as the experience between levels 1-15 is really small. Levels 15-50: Iron bars 390 XP each Ores required: You will need to smelt a total of 87 Iron bars and then use them on an anvil with an hammer to create any type of tool according to your level (I suggest you do whichever one uses the most amount of bars as this will be faster) and you will be awarded 10 Blood money per bar used. Levels 50-70: Mithril bars 900 XP each Ores required: You will need to smelt a total of 266 Mithril bars and then use them on an anvil with an hammer to create any type of tool according to your level (Same thing as before, the more bars used the faster it will go) and you will be awarded 21 Blood money per bar used. Levels 70-85: Adamantite bars 1140 XP each Ores required: You will need to smelt a total of 833 Adamantite bars and then use them on an anvil with an hammer to create any type of tool according to your level (Same as before) and you will be awarded 26 Blood money per bar used. Levels 85-99: Runite bars 1500 XP each Ores required: You will need to smelt a total of 2607 Runite bars and then use them on an anvil with an hammer to create any type of tool according to your level (Same as before) and you will be awarded 31 Blood money per bar used. --- Experience Lamps: --- Reminder: You can purchase experience lamps to use in any skill every 12 hours for 25 voting tickets and these will provide you with 1 million experience (the amount will increase with Donator ranks) so using one to skip the first levels is a good way to start the skill. I hope this guide helped you achieving another 99 and that it made the whole grind a bit easier All Positive criticism is appreciated! Extra notes: - Edit Notes: - ★ Harry
  14. [Skill] Agility Guide

The agility skill consists in going trough obstacles courses and completing these in order to progress in the levels. Leveling this skill will allow you to use certain shortcuts and it allows you to use less running energy the higher your level is. Training: Levels 1-50: (Teleports ➳ Skilling ➳ Gnome course) Your Agility training journey starts at the Gnome Course. The full completion of this agility course awards 3360 XP each time and the gap between levels 1-50 is 101333 XP. You will need to complete this course 31 times to be able to proceed to the next levels bracket. Levels 50-80: (Teleports ➳ Skilling ➳ Barbarian course) Once you are done with the Gnome Course you will start to train at the Barbarian course. The full completion of this agility course awards 10640 XP each time and the gap between levels 50-80 is 1986068 XP. You will need to complete this course 174 times to be able to proceed to the next levels bracket. Levels 80-99: (Teleports ➳ Skilling ➳ Wilderness course) THIS IS IN WILDERNESS LEVEL 49 - BE AWARE! This course is the course that provides the most XP in the game and it will be used until you achieve level 99. The full completion of this agility course awards 24760 XP each time and the gap between levels 80-99 is 11048363 XP. You will need to complete this course 447 times to finally achieve level 99. This is an area where Pkers usually come to try and find people skilling and since you can't use the door when you are in combat it is recommended that you come to this area with a low level and simply bring food to survive the attacks of the mages that attack you inside. You may also pay 500k (Coins, not blood money) at mage bank to make it so that the wizards inside the course will not attack you for 30 minutes. Agility Shop: While doing agility you will receive agility points whenever you complete an agility course and this can be spent in the Agility shop. This shop can be accessed by talking with the Gnome shop keeper in the Gnome course or with the Barbarian guard in the Barbarian Course. The Boots of lightness allow you to have less weigh meaning you will use less stamina while running and the Rogue Armour allows you to sometimes get double loot while thieving. Experience Lamps: Reminder: You can purchase experience lamps to use in any skill every 12 hours for 25 voting tickets and these will provide you with 1 million experience (the amount will increase with donator ranks) so using one to skip the first levels is a good way to start the skill. I hope this guide helped you achieving another 99 and that it made the whole grind a bit easier All Positive criticism is appreciated! Remember that there is also a Pet to gain from this, The Giant Squirrel (The chance is 1/Every 25 Million Experience (If you are a donator rank the % boost makes it lower)) so goodluck getting it! Extra notes: - Edit Notes: - Removed armor setups to tank at the wilderness course as you can't leave the gate while in combat for 10 seconds and edited the warning about it. ★ Harry
  15. [Skill] Woodcutting guide

Before starting to train: Head over to the "Shop Keeper" at ::home in the shops area and purchase a bronze axe and a rune axe for free, on the "Skilling Shop" section. If you have 1000 blood money it is advised that you purchase a dragon axe from the "Blood Money Shop" at ::home as it will speed up a lot the process of getting 99 Woodcutting. Once you have these items you are ready to start training. All the current trees used on the multiple level brackets are located at Entrana and you will be training there (Teleports ➳ Skilling ➳ Entrana). Levels 1-15: You will be using your bronze axe during these levels and you will be chopping Regular Trees. The experience in between levels 1-15 is 2411 XP and each Regular Tree awards you with 625 XP per log, meaning you will need to cut 4 Regular logs before proceeding to the next level bracket. Levels 15-35: In the next level gap you will be still using your bronze axe but you will start to chop Oak Trees. The experience in between levels 15-35 is 19995 XP and each Oak Tree awards you with 950 per log, meaning you will need to cut 21 Oak logs before proceeding to the next level bracket. Levels 35-60: Until level 41 you will still be using your bronze axe but at level 41 and above you will start to use your rune axe. In this level bracket you will be cutting Willow Trees. The experience in between levels 35-60 is 251336 XP and each Willow Tree awards you with 1700 XP per log, meaning you will need to cut 148 Willow logs before proceeding to the next level bracket. Levels 60-75: Once you reach level 60 you will need to use your rune axe during 60-61 and at level 61 you will start to use your dragon axe until level 99. In this level bracket you will be cutting Yew Trees. The experience in between levels 60-75 is 936679 XP and each Yew Tree awards you with 4375 XP per log, meaning you will need to cut 215 Yew logs before proceeding to the final level bracket. Levels 75-99: Once you reach level 75 you will keep on using your dragon axe until level 99 and you will be cutting Magic Trees. The experience in between levels 75-99 is 11824010 XP and each Magic Tree awards you with 6250 XP per log, meaning you will need to cut 1892 Magic logs until you achieve level 99. Alternative and faster method to achieve 99 (Inside the Wilderness!) Once you achieve level 60 you can choose to use the Wilderness Resource Area (Located at level 51-54 Wilderness) and cut Yew Trees and Magic Trees as you will receive more experience per log being a faster method than Entrana, although it has the risk of pkers. The easiest way to get there is to go trough the Edgeville Lever and bringing a knife or a weapon with a sharp blade to cut the web and then running a bit East. It costs a total of 350 Blood Money to enter each time on the Resource Area and once inside you can note the logs by clicking "Use" on them and on the "Cleaner" for free. This method is recommended if you don't mind the fact of it being in the wilderness and that you have the chance of dieing as it speeds up the leveling by quite a bit (the exp is boosted by 10% in this area). Experience Lamps: Reminder: You can purchase experience lamps to use in any skill every 12 hours for 25 voting tickets and these will provide you with 1 million experience (the amount will increase with donator ranks) so using one to skip the first levels is a good way to start the skill. Woodcutting as a money maker: All the logs cut can be sold to the blood money shop meaning you can make money while getting 99 or simply as a money maker. The log prices are: 3 Blood Money per Regular Log; 4 Blood Money per Oak Log; 5 Blood Money per Willow Log; 7 Blood Money per Yew Log; 9 Blood Money per Magic Log. I hope this guide helps you out on your Woodcutting training (Yes, i know it isn't really the most helpful guide as woodcutting is pretty simple) and hopefully we can see some more 99 Woodcutting capes on the server Remember that there is also a Pet to gain from this, The Beaver Pet (The chance is 1/Every 25 Million Experience (If you have a donator rank the % boost makes it lower)) so goodluck getting it! Extra notes: I didn't add pictures of the different Trees as this would make the guide very big because of the size of the pictures but if it improves the guide I will edit them in. This is my first guide so I will still be tweaking it to try and perfect it and any constructive criticism is appreciated in order to improve in this guide and future ones. Edit Notes: - Few spelling mistakes. - Resized some images. - ★ Harry
